Overview
The Third Judicial District Court recognizes that people representing themselves often need legal advice, something court staff CANNOT offer.
The Third Judicial District Court sponsors telephonic clinics and in-person clinics that give the Dona Ana community access to volunteer attorneys for assistance with their family law or civil law legal questions. The Court asks that the questions pertain to a court case or potential court case filed at the Third Judicial District Court. Appointments are required and scheduled on a first come first serve basis. Each clinic has a maximum sign up of ten (10) people. Time with a volunteer attorney is limited to fifteen (15) minutes. Volunteer attorneys provide one (1)-time, free legal advice, but will not represent the party in court. To schedule an appointment with a volunteer attorney, please call either 575-528-8399 or 575-528-8318 or ask a staff member of the Court’s Self-Help Center.
